ALDONA AUKSHUNAS

December 18, 1912 - August 30, 2005

Aldona E. Aukshunas 92 of Newington passed away on Tuesday Aug 30, 2005 peacefully at Hartford Hospital. She was born in New Britain daughter of the late John and Anna ( Lewisky) Aukshunas. She was a 1929 graduate of New Britain High School.She lived in New Britain moving to Newington a number of years ago. She was employed at Travelers Insurance Co retiring in 1970. She was a Volunteer at New Britain General Hospital for many years and also was an incorporator of the hospital. She is survived by a brother John D. Aukshunas and his wife Clara of Newington Also 2 nieces, 2 nephews Jane Aukshunas and her husband Karl of Hillsboro Oregon, Mary Dong and her husband David of Manhattan, New York ,John V. Aukshunas and his wife Susan and their children Vanessa and Maxwell of Mass. and Paul J. Aukshunas and his children Timothy, Curtis, Brian and Kyle of Costamesa, Calif. She was predeceased by her sister Anne M. Aukshunas. Aldona was generous, kind and well liked by all that knew her. Funeral services will take place on Saturday at 9:30am from Venskunas Funeral Home 670 Stanley St New Britain and for a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am at Holy Spirit Church in Newington.
